• Try to control your defensiveness;

  • Try to suspend judgment;
  • Summarize and reflect on what you hear;
  • Ask questions of clarity;
  • Ask for examples that illustrate the feedback, so you know you share meaning with the person;
  • Be  appreciative. People avoid giving feedback to grumpies.
  • Remember, only you have the right and ability to decide what to do with the feedback
