THE FIRST TECHNOLOGY GROUP LIFE PLAN

 

As a First Technology employee, you are a member of The First Technology Group Life Policy which
means that you have some important benefits. Please take a moment to read this Summary of Benefits
to find out what you are entitled to in different circumstances.

Death before your retirement age (Cover ceases at age 70)
If you die before age 70 whilst in the employ of First Technology, your beneficiaries will be entitled to a
benefit of 2 times your annual salary up to a maximum of R18 000 000.

In addition to the above death benefit, your children’s education will be covered by Discovery Life.

The Global Education Protector
If an employee dies, the Global Education Protector pays an annual amount for the education of his or
her children. The benefit covers the cost of education from pre-school to completing a tertiary degree.

Discovery Life will pay the education costs for pre-primary and high school, as well as university or
tertiary education. Twenty international prestigious universities are also covered, including Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Yale and Princeton.

Capital Disability (Cover ceases at age 65)
If you become disabled before age 65 whilst, in the employ of First Technology, you will be entitled to a benefit of 2 times your annual salary up to a maximum of R5 000 000.
In addition to the disability payout, the following additional benefits are included:

The Contribution Protector
Discovery Life will pay your monthly contributions for other Discovery risk protection and retirement
funding products for up to 12 months. These products include
