If annual leave is not taken within the first year, it will be moved to the Annual Excess Leave line and the employee will have 6 months to take the leave.
If your Leave is not taken within that extended period, it will be lost.
Example:
Employee X
- Date engaged is 1 Jan 2021
- You would accumulate 1.25 days monthly between Jan 2021 and Dec 2021 (12 months).
- This leave will have to be used/taken between Jan 2021 to Dec 2021
- If leave is not taken during the Jan 2021 to Dec 2021 period, the remaining leave will move to the excess leave line.
- Employee X will have 6 months to take the leave from 1 Jan 2022
- If the leave is not taken by the 30 June 2022, the leave becomes lost and no longer gets to take the leave.
